Menu for April 9th!



Entrees
The Works Chicken Caesar Salad total price: $11.54
Ingredients:
·        4 lbs of HT Split Chicken Breast
o   Buy One Get One at $2.39 per pound
·        1 can HT Mario Olives
o   Buy One Get One at $1.99
o   Use .30/1 coupon found here to make it 39¢
·        1 HT Hot House English Cucumbers
o   On sale $1
·        2 Bags of Publix Fresh Express Caesar Kit 5-11 oz.
o   Buy One Get One at $3.99    
o   Use $1/2 coupon  from entering two bag codes on website
·        1 Publix Athenos Crumbled Feta 3.5-4oz.
o   Buy One Get One at $3.19
·        1 HT Ken’s Steakhouse Caesar Dressing 16 oz.
o   Buy One Get One at 3.55
o   Use .75/1  from SS 3/8
o   Use $1/2 from SS 3/8
o   Use $1/3 from SS 3/8

If you use the .75/1 price per item would be 78¢.
Recipe:
1.     Season lightly with salt and pepper and place on a pan.
2.     Bake at 350°F until an internal temperature of 165°F.
3.     Let cool for 10 minutes, and then slice on a bias (or angle).
4.     Set chicken aside.
5.     Measure 2 oz. of olives, drain, and set aside.
6.     Wash the cucumber and tomatoes, and then slice the cucumbers into rounds. Set both cucumbers and tomatoes aside.
7.     Prepare the salad as directed on the bag, and set aside.
8.     Remove 2 oz. of feta cheese from package, and set aside.
9.     Toss salad, olives, grape tomatoes, and English cucumbers together with 2 oz. of Ken’s Caesar Dressing.
10.            Serve with sliced chicken on top.
Note: More or less of any ingredients can be used if desired.


Mushroom and Onion Bratwurst total price: $4.60
Ingredients:

·        Additional items needed: olive oil, minced garlic, salt and pepper.
Recipe:
1.     Follow the directions on the Betty Crocker Loaded Casserole Potatoes.
2.     Slice squash and zucchini in half and then slice again on the bias (or angle).
3.     Take 1 oz. of olive oil and add to a sauté pan on medium high heat.
4.     Add 1 teaspoon of minced garlic added to the hot oil and stir for 10 seconds.
5.     Add squash and zucchini and sauté until tender.
6.     Salt and pepper to taste.
7.     Stem mushrooms and brush away dirt.
8.     Slice mush rooms into slices.
9.     Slice onions into julienne strips.
10.                        Preheat oven until 350 °.
11.                        Place brats on a sheet pan.
12.                        Toss mushrooms and onions with 2 teaspoons olive oil and 1 tablespoon minced garlic.
13.                        Place mushrooms and onion mix on top of brats and cook until brats are 165 °.

Pork Pot Roast approx. cost: $11.23
Ingredients:
·        4 lbs. Publix Boston Butt Roast
o   On sale on $1.99 per lb.
·        1 lb. HT Baby Carrots
o   On sale 99¢ per 1 lb. bag
·        Aldi’s Onions
o   On sale 79¢
·        Aldi’s Red Potatoes 5 lb. bag
o   On sale $1.49
·        Additional items needed: flour, rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, oil or butter, salt and pepper.
Recipe:
1.     Preheat oven to 375 °.
2.     Dust pot roast lightly with flour. Rub pot roast with rosemary, thyme, minced garlic, salt and pepper.
3.     Quarter 3 onions.
4.     Wash 8 potatoes.
5.     Let pot roast cook for 2 hours, and then add potatoes and carrots.
6.     Bake until pot roast is tender and potatoes and carrots are done.
To make Gravy:
1.     Remove all drippings from pan.
2.     Take 2 tablespoons of oil or butter and bring to a simmer.
3.     Add in ½ cup flour and stir until lightly brown.
4.     Add in pan drippings.
 

Steak and Blue Spinach Salad approx. cost: $15.17
Ingredients:

Recipe:
1.     Dice onions and peppers.
2.     Crumble steak patties in a pan
3.     Add peppers, onions, and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to pan and continue               cooking.
4.     Follow directions on the box to bake the bread.
5.     Prepare salad as directed on the bag.
6.     Toss your choice of dressing and 2 oz. of blue cheese with the salad.
7.     Serve with peppers, onions, and steak on top of salad. Have bread on the side.

Dogs and Fries approx. cost: $5.57

Mix ½ cup of yogurt with ½ cup of berries of your choice.
