What’s
in your kitchen? Do you have all the items you need to make the meals your see?
When chefs make out a recipe, they expect kitchens to already have certain
staples. These are just basic items that help make the food look and taste
better. What staples should be in your kitchen?

How
can you keep a well-stocked kitchen? It’s not as hard as you think. What we do
is pretty easy. For items like sugar and flour we buy the bulk bags. When the
bags are marked down due to unpacking errors, we buy them up. We only have to
buy them once or twice a year.
Seasonings
and other items that we use a lot of: salt, pepper, Italian Seasoning, cumin, and
minced garlic, are bought in the big containers. When Morton Company puts out
their coupons for salt, we stock up!
For
ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise look for the coupon and sales for these. We
haven’t paid for mustard in two years! You just have to wait and stock up at
the right time. Ketchup coupons are harder to get a good deal on. Lately there have
been a lot of coupons to use! Mostly, we buy the off brand unless we can get a
great deal using the coupons. Mayonnaise can be gotten cheaply as well! Hellman’s
and Kraft duke it out a lot and you can get them for under $1.50 any given
sales cycle.
